What is HA fillers?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are called as HA fillers or Hyalurons. They are derived either from bacterial source or animal source.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally exists in our body. Hyalurons are found in the

1. Extracellular matrix of connective tissue
2. Synovial joint fluid
3. Hyaline cartilage
4. Ground substance of the dermis
5. Fascia
6. Extracellular matrix of the eye
Hyaluronic acid fillers are not permanent but long lasting, because of cross-linking. A substance called 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether[BDDE] is used for cross-linking, resulting in a three- dimensional matrix, which is still very close to natural hyaluronic acid.
